ABOUT JOE

Joe was elected to Dunwoody City Council in November 2019 and is a retired U.S. Army Major and Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veteran with 23 years of service. He currently is a senior manager at Accenture with 30 years of experience deploying human capital management solutions, working with Fortune 100 and public sector organizations including federal, state and local governments, and Department of Defense agencies. Joe spent several years living in Europe working in project leadership roles in Switzerland, Germany, England, France, Italy, Scotland, Denmark, Northern Ireland, and Spain. Joe previously served on the board of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association, the Dunwoody Sustainability Committee, and Master Transportation Plan Advisory Committee. He was the founder of Bike Walk Dunwoody, and former board member and president of the statewide nonprofit Georgia Bikes. In 2018, Joe was awarded the city’s Sustainability Hero Award. Joe presently serves on the Transportation Policy Committee of the Georgia Municipal Association.

Joe enjoys being active outdoors, including cycling, hiking, kayaking in both the north Georgia mountains and the coastal barrier islands, and attending local community theater with his wife Kathleen, who can be seen regularly on stage performing in regional productions.
