I pledge to sustain our positive momentum for the future, working together and ensuring the well-being of our community, while serving the citizens of Dunwoody.

Reelect Joe 2023

Kathleen and Joe Seconder

Where we’ve been. Where we’re going.

In some ways, the past four years seem like forever ago. After Joe was sworn into office in January 2020, we experienced once-in-a-generation challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. We worked our way through that incredibly difficult period, while at the same time adopting new master plans including Homecoming Park (Vermack Dr.), Wildcat Park (Roberts Dr.), Trails, Dunwoody Village, and targeted federal relief funding through the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan for infrastructure, supporting key social non-profit partners and more. All delivered with transparency, accountability, and oversight to the public.

In other ways, four years passes very quickly. We’ve set the stage for generational investments that could come to fruition within the next few short years instead of decades. This can be a reality with a yes vote by Dunwoody voters on the Parks/Trails/Greenspace Bond Referendum on the November 7th ballot.

These initiatives and more all add up to continue to create a Dunwoody with a greater sense of place and excellent quality of life for all our residents - from families raising their children, empty nesters being able to gracefully age in place, and all those in-between.

PHILOSOPHY

Joe believes you get more flies with honey than vinegar. And it takes a village. Since being elected, Joe has worked tirelessly to build consensus and collaborate among his elected peers, citizens, and stakeholders to achieve results: adopting new polices and ordinances, partnering with non-profits, and supporting law enforcement and public safety with critical and significant budget increases - while being fiscally responsible and prioritizing funding.

FOCUS

Joe has been a driving force for safe streets policies, plans and funding; transparency of government actions, increased collaboration with citizen engagement, and adopting strategic planning and governance principles of the mayor and council to get things done, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being and prosperity of Dunwoody’s citizens.
